Since I have been not entirely committed to writing (you know, writing by hand, the 'old fashioned way') anything as of late, I have given in to blogging. Here's a blog. If you'd like writing, ask for a letter. Who writes letters these days?

The End is Near!

No, that is not an apocalyptic statement. In my current context, I have finished four out of five exams. The last exam (which will be in two hours) will mark the end of this semester. I am as excited as the guy who lost his wallet and worked endlessly to find it, only to figure out that he has left it in his other pants. In other words, I am excited, relieved, and bewildered.

The excitement and relievedness (that's a word?) require very little explanation; however, the bewilderedness is in want of some kind of discussion.

Plainly put, I am bewildered by how fast my exams are going. Usually I'd be the last one to exit the room, scrambling to write my concluding paragraph on the in-class essay. In direct contrast to that, I was one of the first to leave the exam I just had. One of the FIRST! This could be complementary to my strengthened ability to write clearly and quickly, but I am not that optimistic. The three exams before differed slightly, though with all my English courses the result was strikingly similar: I got out earlier than I expected (my intro to computers class exam was later, but I figure it was because it was a longer exam and contained a number of multiple choice and short answer questions that required deliberation). This strange sequence of events may be easily explained by the fact that I studied my self silly for all the exams; however, this is not true and would not hold up in court. Last night, for example, I was up till 3 am proofreading my wife's 43 page research paper. I had no time to study, and the little I did study for this, most recent, exam, did not help me so much. Another explanation would be that I just wrote randomly (possibly repeated the line: "you will believe that this is an intelligent argument" for effect). Again, this is not true. Maybe I should be more optimistic. Maybe time was halted at several moments when I was deep in thought. Anywho, all that to say, I am bewildered.

Will the last exam go the same way? I hope so. I can't wait to be done (maybe that's the motivation that's driving me to finish early... well, if it is, I hope I wrote well and not randomly).

Well, it's updated...

Notice the picture at the bottom of this page.

Yup, now there's links to other blogs (or Other Young Pages) and websites I've frequented (Pages of Good Note).
The dropdown list is kind of odd... but it's an easy way to archive I guess...

Be sure to make some Snide Remarks (or just Comments).

Anywho, it's my new rendition, just cuz I can.
Oh yes, and I still make sure to have your comments/remarks sent to my email :)

Well, other than that, two exams down and three more to go...

'sabout time I posted somhin'

Okay, here's how I'm doing currently, in picture form...

Yes, it's a guy on a deserted island who spots out a large ripple chip on the open sea. Not the gretaest drawing I have done, but I did that a couple nights ago -- or last night or afternoon? Well, I have no idea... I have lost track of time quite a lot this week after finishing five assignments in two weeks, but...

It's ALL DONE!

I have no idea what this has to do with a guy spotting a chip on the water, but Hey! it's salt water, so the chip must fit there... yeahh... even though it'd be soggy after he catches it, he could make a fire from the wood of that lone palm tree and make the chip crispy again.

Chips are good once you put them over an open fire... I've tried it a couple times and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Anywho, all that to say that after a long two weeks of homework, I feel a great need for randomness to re-enter the lone portholes in this ol' fishing boat of life.

If anyone needs me, I'll be eating my own brain...

Right now - That's how it is.
Four papers, one presentation/lecture, three Christmas parties... all within the next two weeks.
I figure I can handle it...
it's just that I'll be going crazy during the process and, after my five exams before the 20th, I'll be quite comatose, torpid or something of the like.
But, Christmas is comming sooner than I think and the holiday from school will be a releif.
Though it will be nuts to get there.
I'll have to do some crazy stuff to keep myself sane (anyone understand the logic behind that?).

Speaking of which, I just had a great idea...

CAKE IN A SOCK!

Sweet eh? Pretty grooby*, I think.
Unlike Cake in a Jar, Cake in a Sock will be a revolution in baking (or maybe just revolting - if you use someone's gym socks).
Kind of reminds me of this Vestibule's sketch with 'Soup in a Sponge.'
Anywho, I hope to send word to people about this blog at some point - right now I don't have much time to spare for it. More posts when I have time too.

Oh, and if you're wondering about what I've done in regards to moderating comments, it's just my way of keeping up with them (they get sent to an email so I can read them without missing any).
Well, that's about all I can muster up now. Good day.

*grooby: A word which combines 'groovy' and some other word. I don't use it too often, but I mean to use it once in a while.

The Founding Post

Well, here it is. My first blog.
I'm still trying to work out the overall look of it, but this is it for now.
Look at those nice rocks.
If only I can get both the rocks and the lighthouse...

...nope, just got some trees (my wife thinks they're 'pretty' - I think they look gloomy... well, they do look nice, but they give a overgrown look to the blog... though the blog iself isn't overgrown...)
These trees are a painting by Donald Flather. It's from Stanley Park, Vancover. Though I'm not sure I recognize them specifically. They do look good though.
